We were Spiritually Dead but now
Ephesians 1-10
“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which ye once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the children of disobedience - 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Messiah – by grace you have been saved -
6 and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Messiah Yeshua, 7 so that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Messiah Yeshua.
8-9 For by grace ye have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Messiah Yeshua for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Verse 9-10 By Grace
Workmanship – Greek Word poiema from which we get the English Poem.
“Creation is God’s first poem, but redemption is His second poem, and you and I who are saved constitute the syllables in God’s great poem of redemption. Everyone is set in the right place by God Himself, “We are his workmanship,” and therefore He is given all the credit, for He has done it all through His Son.”

Conclusion
- We were dead in our trespasses
- We are made Alive because what Christ Did
- We are raised up with Messiah and so are justified by and in Him
- We are Seated with Messiah to minister on His behalf
- We are saved by grace, not of our own works
- We are a living display of God’s mercy & grace to this world that is dead. But God can blow new life into these dead bodies, and pour grace upon grace so that we might be saved by Him, through Him and live forevermore in Him
